I couldn't wait to
open my new Hamilton Beach 48465 Brew Station Digital 12-Cup
Coffee Maker. My old workhorse coffee maker had leaked its last
leak and with a dying hiss, faded permanently into the nostalgic
realm. Reminiscing over old times is not a viable option for a
coffee dependent soul as myself; so after a quick wave to the
recycle truck as it transported the old timer to the other side,
I got on the internet to shop for a replacement.
I must admit I was dazzled by the choice of coffee makers all
vying to fill the vacancy. Alas, I had to be firm; there was
only room in my kitchen for one. The Hamilton Beach 48465 Brew
Station Digital 12-Cup Coffee Maker caught my eye quickly. I
think it was the digital display and the absence of a glass
carafe. It seemed to be beckoning me into the future of home
coffee making. It was very good looking too; tall in a smooth
black veneer with a striking silver front panel. I was also
attracted by the name; Hamilton Beach had to be reliable, this
was a brand I could trust.
There was no coy reserve; the moment it arrived I was ready to
lift this machine out of its packaging. Wow! No amount of
picture browsing could have prepared me for the physical reality
of the 48465 unwrapped and ready to serve on my kitchen counter.
The magnificence of its presence left me grappling for composure
but I had to pull myself together. There was no denying that
here was a coffee maker that was handsome enough to show off but
could it do the job?
I am happy to report that the the Hamilton Beach 48465 Brew
Station Digital 12-Cup Coffee Maker meets my every need. It is
good for a quick 4 cups but able to do the full 12 cups any time
I need it. I should recommend this wonderful gadget to my
friends but I'd rather keep it to myself.
